Rev. Haziel & Mey Deras
Haziel and Mey Deras were born and raised in Mexico and have served the Lord together in ministry for over 27 years. Their journey has taken them through worship ministry, pastoral leadership, missions, discipleship, counseling, and teaching, each season shaping their deep love for God and for helping people grow in Christ.
About
Beginnings
Haziel began serving in ministry at a young age, playing multiple instruments and leading worship by the age of 14 at his father’s church in Monterrey. He later pursued studies in Business Administration, attended Bible school, and served as administrator of a Christian school connected to his family’s ministry.
Ministry
Haziel was ordained in Mexico in 2006 and later through the Church of God in 2016. He carries a shepherd’s heart and a passion for equipping God’s people to discover and develop their gifts for the advancement of the Kingdom.
Counseling
Mey is a biblical counselor and Bible teacher. Having walked through personal seasons of hardship and God’s healing, she brings a compassionate, Scripture-rooted approach to helping women heal emotionally, grow spiritually, and live deeply rooted in God’s truth. She leads online mentorship programs and hosts the Spanish podcast Los Detalles de Tu Vida.
Missions
For a season, Haziel and Mey served as missionaries in the Dominican Republic, ministering in a local church in San Cristóbal, strengthening their commitment to gospel-centered service and cross-cultural ministry. In the United States, they continued serving in various ministries, including production and media, marriage counseling, children’s ministry, worship, biblical counseling, and pastoral care.
Today
Today, they are honored to serve as pastors of Living Waters Church in Saratoga Springs, NY, where their desire is to lead God’s people with humility, joy, and unwavering trust in His Word. Their heartbeat is simple: to love God, and serve people.
